CBi gets smart at sustainable packaging conference

CBi was asked to speak at the Smart Packaging for Sustainability conference in Shanghai on September 20.

With consumer focus being a key talking point of the conference, CBi presented an in-depth study of how sustainable packaging can be designed and presented in such a way as to fit with consumer desires.

One major point was how best to reduce the clutter of the visual design of packaging to enhance visibility on the shelf and attract more buyers.

The conference was attended by a variety of brand owners, packaging manufacturers and packaging professionals to discuss the main challenges and opportunities to go green in China.

Emphasis was placed on topics such as Sustainable Packaging for Green Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility; Consumer Focus; Smart Packaging for Product Safety, Convenience, Flexibility and Design; Rethinking Packaging Supply Chain Processes; and Conducting Lifecycle Analysis in the Packaging Development Process.
