The Global Sustainability Jam 2012, Shanghai Station, saw six energetic teams jam packing ideas, churning out and distilling concepts around sustainability in 48 hours from November 2nd-4th at the organizer CBi China Bridge’s studio space. This year’s inspiring jam theme is “Heartbeat”.

Global Sustainability Jam is the world’s biggest, non-profit innovation event targeting sustainability. Creative and passionate people form teams to create brand-new real-world designs, projects and initiatives that will impact sustainability. During the event, all participants take part in communication across different cities around the globe.

This year saw 57 cities in 25 countries jamming out 280 new sustainability models. Shanghai jammers from diverse professional backgrounds grew initial sparks of ideas to concrete concepts with feasible business models, and presented them to leading thinkers as mentors and jurors during and after the jam. Inspiring and guiding discussions on innovative sustainability were generated by invited opening speakers, investors and sponsors. All global results are posted on the global organizer’s website. Take a look at our photo stream to experience the fun and feverish atmosphere.

Let’s anticipate the next of this bi-annual jam March 1st – 3rd 2013, the Global Service Jam!
