CBI congratulated on the establishment of College of Design Innovation, Tongji University

An opening ceremony for College of Design Innovation, Tongji University which originated from Art & Design Department of College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University was held on May 26th 2009. Cathy Huang, President of CBI was invited to attend the ceremony.

 

At the ceremony, the leaders of Tongji University exchanged gifts with Cathy Huang and other domestic and foreign guests. Qidi Wu, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the former Deputy Minister of Education, Anjie Chen, the Party Secretary of CPC Shanghai Yangpu District Committee and Gang Fei, President of Tongji University got onto the stage and made speech. Cathy Huang also made speech as the distinguished guest. Then Jialun Zhou, the Party Secretary of Tongji University announced the establishment of College of Design Innovation.

 

College of Design Innovation, Tongji University is strongly committed to cultivating the high-level designer, design education, design research and design management talent of which innovation industry is in urgent need in China. Breakthrough in professional, industry and national boundaries, interdisciplinary and international cooperation, and close connection among the production, study and research will be the three most important characteristics of College of Design Innovation.
